OUR HOUSEKEEPING TRAINING PROGRAM

In Conjunction with the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, HSS Enhances Housekeeping Quality Through Comprehensive Certification

Hospitality Staffing Solutions, LLC (HSS) is introducing a new training program created in partnership with the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at UCF. The program trains housekeeping teams on quality, efficiency, safety, and other important aspects of hotel housekeeping. The program is available to hotels with the option to train supervisors or entire housekeeping teams. HSS, the leading provider of hospitality staffing within the U.S. worked to develop the program along with faculty at the Rosen School of Hospitality. The program is currently centered in the Orlando market and there are plans to roll out the program nationwide.

HSS and Rosen College are exploring options to make this service available to more clients within its service areas, as HSS currently has branch offices in close to 80 markets across 38 states. Leveraging its network, HSS foresees bringing more of its professionally trained staff to join a client’s back of house team.

“Quality and efficiency are both major drivers for hotels, resorts, and casinos nationwide,” said Luke Lindahl, Senior Vice President at HSS. Lindahl has lead the development of this training program for HSS. “By developing the first housekeeper certification program we’re helping hotels address those drivers and get a competitive edge now and in the future.”
“Cleanliness has been shown to be the major factor in guest quality scores for hotels,” said Michael Terry, an instructor at Rosen College. Terry helped plan the curriculum and lead the training sessions. “This program brings a process to this essential part of success in the hotel industry.”

The inaugural session of this program trained approximately 40 housekeeping supervisors.
