The Staffing Habits of Highly Successful Hotels
HSS and Hotel Management Magazine to Host Webinar for Hospitality Industry
Chapel Hill, NC (May 3, 2021) — Hospitality Staffing Solutions (HSS), the largest hospitality-focused staffing firm in the U.S., and Hotel Management Magazine, will host an event for Hospitality Industry leaders and General Managers on May 18 at 2 p.m. EST titled “The Staffing Habits of Highly Successful Hotels.”
As labor markets remain tight and occupancy rates rise, the biggest challenge for many hospitality venues is labor. To put it simply: many hotels are faced with a sharp increase in demand – they’re short staffed and they are holding back on hiring as a result. Attendees will learn strategies that can be deployed to take full advantage of a hospitality industry that is returning to growth.
- How to calculate a property’s true cost of labor
- How to identify gaps in staffing
- What staffing solutions should properties leverage to maximize revenue and mitigate risk during the ongoing recovery period
The fully-virtual event will be led by James Krouse (SVP Sales and Marketing, HSS), Karla Dougherty (SVP Strategic Accounts, HSS) and Elaine Simon (Senior Managing Editor Hotel Management / Questex), will discuss how successful hotels are leveraging staffing strategies to succeed in today’s recovering market. They possess a combined experience of more than 55 years in the hospitality industry.
“Today’s current labor shortage, lack of experienced senior staff, pile up of deferred maintenance, and meeting the challenge of heightened guest awareness of cleanliness are real. Surmounting them and positioning their hotel for future success offers the opportunity to leverage solutions with real-world results,” says James Krouse, SVP, Sales & Marketing at HSS.
