Virucides & Cleaning

INFECTION PREVENTION

EFFECTIVE CHEMICALS

While common household bleach solutions can be effective in preventing the spread of viruses, the use of a virucide can offer a greater degree of protection and be less difficult to handle.

Many professional cleaners use cleaners containing powerful virucides. When used on environmental, inanimate hard nonporous surfaces these products have been shown to be effective against a numerous viruses and bacteria.

 

 

 

There is currently no product on the market that can claim to be effective against COVID-19. However, the best information we have is that this strain is not more resistant than other known viruses to cleaning chemicals.

AVOID

Do not gather in groups over five people. Also, avoid close contact with people who are sick. 

KEEP CLEAN

Wash  your hands often and thoroughly with foamy soap for at least 20 seconds.

DISINFECT

Carry with you Alcohol gel (60% minimum) and be sure to disinfect surfaces often and thoroughly.  Use a disinfectant cleaner when possible or soapy water.

SYMPTOMS AWARENESS

Stay alert and aware of the symptoms Covid-19 and socially isolate as much as possible.

If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Watch for symptoms

Reported illnesses have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death for confirmed Corona Virus disease (COVID-19) cases.

THESE SYMPTOMS MAY APPEAR 2-14 DAYS  AFTER EXPOSURE: 

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath

EMERGENCY WARNING SIGNS:

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face
